Exfoliating is a great component to having a healthy skin care routine, but there are quite a few exfoliators that can actually harm your skin. Some of the ingredients are too harsh and can cause micro-abrasions on your epidermis. This can result in more breakouts, irritation, and redness. However, there are plenty of exfoliants that you can buy, or even make, that can be beneficial for your skin. At Sprightly, we decided to make an exfoliating recipe using our 600mg CBD oil. Sprightly Scrub

To start, we like to use one-part coffee grounds with one-part coconut oil. Coffee grounds are soft enough that they won't damage your skin (with proper usage,) but tough enough to exfoliate. The coconut oil will help moisturize your skin. Mix the coffee grounds with the coconut oil and add one serving of Sprightly's 600mg CBD oil (1mL) and mix well. It's that easy!

Once you finish mixing, you can apply generously to your face, legs, or any other areas you'd like to exfoliate and add a bit of extra softness to. You can use it as a mask and leave it on for 5-10 minutes, or you can wash it off after a minute of massaging it into your skin.

It's recommended that you only exfoliate once or twice a week, and never within the same 24-48 hour time period. This can be too harsh on your skin, causing irritation and breakouts. After you exfoliate, you can wash your face and use a hydrating serum, ensuring you always moisturize after exfoliating. This can help close the pores and protect your skin while it's vulnerable.
